Are grades not exactly what you had hoped? There's a way to help: Intersession! Any student who has a C, D, or F in a non-honors class may participate in Intersession over Spring Break to help improve his/her grade. You can attend Intersession to improve grades in up to two classes. Every student that registers for Intersession will begin on March 13. The deadline to register is 3/8/17.

You can now report student absences online through the Andrada website! Just click on the tab at the top of this page that says "Report Absence" or click on the "Report an Absence" link under Important Links, on the right. There you are able to submit your student's absence details, your contact information, and the reason for the absence. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you enter. We are very excited to announce that Vail Pride Day is right around the corner!
It will be held at the Pima County Fairgrounds on Saturday, February 18th from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
There is so much fun to look forward to this year!
* We have added an additional stage! Music performances and the awards ceremony will be held in Thurber Hall. Academic Jeopardy, Math Bowl, and the STEM Showcase will be held at our NEW stage in Old Pueblo Hall.

Parent Teacher Conferences are right around the corner:
Wednesday, February 8th, 4:00-6:00 p.m. AND Thursday, February 9th, 1:00-7:00 p.m.
At Andrada we use an on-line program so you can schedule your conferences with the teachers you'd like to meet. You'll meet in the teacher's classroom which provides a private place to discuss your student's progress. All over the district, 8th grade students are getting ready to choose their high school for next year. The process has changed this year. I want to reach out to our families that have an 8th grader, and to all of our families in case they have friends or neighbors with 8th graders.

If you would like to participate in or learn more about spring sports, please attend the Spring Sports Meeting on Monday, January 23rd at 6:30pm at Empire High School, in the Dining Auditorium. Spring sports include softball, baseball, track, and golf. The coaches will also be available at the meeting to discuss various topics and answer questions.
