Morning announcements Wednesday  9/20/17

The Vail School District’s Varsity Robotics Team meets today and this Saturday at Vail Academy. If you need a ride to Vail Academy, email the BoxerBots at1828boxerbots@gmail.com

This morning a representative from NAU will be here at 9:45 to answer any questions for students. GCU will also be here at 12pm today to host an application workshop for any students needing help submitting their application.

The library will be closed today from 10 – 1.

Students! If you signed up for the PSAT please check with Miss Mackenzie in the counseling center for your room assignment. Remember the PSAT will be Wednesday morning October 11 right here at Andrada.  You will need to report directly to your testing room.

Tomorrow, Thursday, Pima will be here at 12:30 to answer any questions for students.

Please come to the Career and Counseling center to sign up for any and all of these college visits.

 

Our SWAT club is collecting money for hurricane victims. If you would like to donate, please go see Mr. Arias in room 1202.

 

Lookin’ to get a frozen treat? Wanna help your school while you’re at it? Well, then you’re in luck! Tomorrow, Thursday the 21st, is the APHS Bahama Bucks fundraiser! Come on down to get the best shaved ice you’ve ever had! So come on down to Bahama Bucks tomorrow, once again that is Bahama Bucks, this Thursday, September 21st. You don’t wanna miss out on this opportunity! today’s recommendation is a strawberry and kiwi cup with a drizzle of cream!

 

Attention Seniors.  Are you looking for some community service hours to complete your SEP?  Well you are in luck!  Please stop by the new community service bulletin board located in the hallway behind the bookstore to find out about these amazing upcoming community service opportunities.  Please contact Mrs. Young or your English teacher if you have any questions!

 

Are you needing a chocolate fix? Seniors are selling Chocolate bars to raise money for the senior trip! They are a dollar a chocolate bar and are delicious. You can also buy them in the front office.  Seniors who are interested in raising money, please see Mrs. Young in room 1104 to get your box of chocolate to sell!

 

We are still looking for 6 more host families for our Korean students arriving this January. If you are interested, stop by Mrs. Shroder’s room 2225 and pick up an application.  

 

Credit Recovery classes have begun! Please see your advisory base teacher if you need your user name and password. If you do not have a AB teacher, please check in with Mr. Livingston.

 

Attention freshman and sophomore students! Do you need a little extra help with your classes? If so, speak with an NHS officer, or Ms. Opalic in room 1201, about receiving free tutoring from an NHS member.

 

Students!  Are you not happy with your grades? Want a chance to bring up your grade in a core class?  Then attend intersession during the first week of break!  Any student with a C or lower is invited to attend intersession.  You can ask your teacher or Mr Livingston for more details.

Hey Mavs! This is your LAST opportunity to come to an informational meeting for Belize over spring break. Our final meeting will be held at Chuy’s (chew-eez) in Rita Ranch TONIGHT from 5:30-6:30.
