Good morning, Andrada! Happy Thursday!



ASVAB Results are in! If you took the ASVAB this year, test scores will be issued to you along with an interpretation of the results at the beginning of 3rd period. The Results Interpretation will be in the Library. If you have questions, please check with Mr. Campion in the College & Career Center.


Want to be a part of a fun event?  TODAY AFTER SCHOOL from 4-7 p.m. in the Commons we are having Andrada’s First Annual Social Studies Fair.  Hope to see you all there!!


Tomorrow, Friday, there will be a varsity soccer game at 6:30 at Empire. Come support our athletes!


This week is National Computer Science Education Week. The following computer science fact is presented to you by Robotics Team 1828 the BoxerBots: According to Rasmussen College, the computer science cluster of careers is projected to grow by 12 percent between 2014 and 2024.


The African American Culture Club will be meeting Friday during lunch.


Students! Our annual winter formal is almost here! It will take place here, on December 15th! Tickets are on sale on stage and will cost $30 for a single ticket and $45 for a couple.


Attention Freshmen! Are you nervous about your first set of finals coming up? Would you like some help from your freshmen teachers and your Link Crew on subjects that you struggle with or have concern about? Would you like to enjoy free snacks and hot cocoa while you’re getting help? WELL you won’t want to miss COCOA AND CRAM on December 14th after school in the commons until 5:15p.  Look for posters around the school, talk to your Link Crew leaders or Mrs. Shroder if you have further questions.


Sign Language students: one of our students is creating a play version of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She would like to have students perform it in ASL after our winter break. Are you interested in participating as a signer or speaker? If so, please see Mrs. Webber-Graff for more information.

Pre-season weights and technique training are held Monday-Friday for Track and Field from 4:15pm-5:15pm at the Empire Track. Come ready to workout and bring your friends!

Winter Athletes! Your $120 participation fees are due now.  You can make your payment at Andrada or Empire student stores!!


Attention Seniors!  Have you ordered your cap and gown yet??  You can order online or by phone.  Don’t delay!

Do you have 12 or more absences in any classes? If so, you are required to sign up for an Attendance Appeal. Appeals will take place on Monday December 11th for Seniors and on Tuesday December 12th and Wednesday December 13th for all other students. Please sign up to appeal your absences with Ms. Chavez in the College & Career Center. Remember, if you have 12 or more absences in any class, you must appeal your absences or you will not receive credit for the class.


Seniors, are you in need of community service hours to fulfill your SEP?  Check out the community service board or see Mrs. Young for help!


Attentions seniors!  Due to a lack of student interest the 2018 senior trip has been cancelled.  If you had paid your first deposit, please see Mrs. Young for your refund or returned check.  We will be meeting on Wed. Dec. 13th at lunch in the library to discuss shirts, an alternative to the trip, and the senior bar-b-que.  If you have a chocolate box checked out, the money and/or box is due back to Mrs. Young by Dec. 15th or your school account will be charged $60.  


Need something sweet? Are you in desperate need of chocolate? Seniors are selling Chocolate bars to raise money for the senior trip! They are a dollar a chocolate bar and are delicious. You can also buy them in the front office.


Senior Baby Pictures are due to Ms. Allen by December 15th. If you want your baby picture in the yearbook, it MUST be turned in before we go on winter break!


Senior Pictures are due February 16th to Ms. Allen. If you are having pictures professionally taken, schedule them now so you will have them back in time.
