Happy Last Day to our Korean students. We will miss you.

 

Attention Seniors!!!  Jostens will be on campus TODAY at lunch.  They will be delivering cap and gown orders, so be sure to pick yours up!  If you haven’t ordered your cap and gown yet, please visit jostens.com or call 1-800-JOSTENS to place your order!

 

Sign ups for our intramural basketball tournament have been extended until today. Today is the last day to sign up with Miss McKenzie! The tournament play will begin tomorrow at lunch. All teams report to the basketball courts at 1:10. The winning team will receive a trophy with their team name that will be displayed in the fitness room for the rest of the year.

Hey Andrada! Do you like ice cream? It may be cold outside, but come get a blizzard or another treat at the Dairy Queen in Vail TONIGHT to support HOSA! It is from 4-9pm, so stop on by and devour some delicious treats! See you there!

 

Maverick Run Club, Run club shirts are now available. Please see Mr. Frausel for your Maverick Run Club shirt this week.

 

The AACC will meet Tuesday and Friday during lunch.

 

Congratulations to our Empire Boys’ Soccer team!  The boys have qualified for the State playoffs for the second time in school history and the first time since 2011! Our team travels to Phoenix this Wednesday, January 31 to play NFL Yet High School and Junior High in first round action. Good luck, boys!  It’s a great day to be a Raven today and every day!

 

Preseason conditioning for Empire track and field will take place every day after school from 4 to 5:30 until the season starts on February 5.  Meet at the Empire track if you are interested in participating.

 

Attention Spring Sport Athletes!!! Mr. Woolridge will be at Andrada this Friday morning, February 2nd from 8:00-8:30 AM, to collect golf, track and baseball packets. Softball registrations are being done on Register my Athlete. If you do not have registration instructions please contact Mrs. Smith at 879-3016.

 

Our next blood drive will be on Valentine’s Day. You can go to the stage at lunch to get a permission slip. Please donate and save 3 lives.

 

Remember Freshmen that you must be wearing your lanyard during your free period. Remember to use that time wisely and stay on top of your class work.

 

Seniors the following announcements are for you:

 

Please keep in mind that your SEP portfolios are due on March 2nd.  At this time, ALL internship/community service hours must be completed- see the community service board if you still need hours!  Stay on top of your journals and hours and make sure you are working on putting together your portfolios! Best of Luck!

 

Senior Pictures are due February 16th to Ms. Allen. That’s only 3 weeks away! If you are having pictures professionally taken, get them done now so you will have them back in time.
