Monday Morning announcements  4/23/18

Good morning, Andrada and happy Monday!    

Juniors, Pima math Accuplacer testing will begin TODAY and continue Tuesday and Thursday, April 24th and 26th in the computer lab located in room 2227. Juniors, please refer to the student lists posted in your US History classes and in the counseling center for the date and time you need to report for testing.


The Be Kind Club will meet TODAY in Mrs. Shroder’s room.


The AACC will meet TODAY and Wednesday at lunch.


Football players, Spring Training begins TODAY at 4:30 p.m. at Empire. See you there!


Juniors!  Are you interested in attending the University of Arizona?  Do you know what it takes to get accepted? We will be holding an information session with your U of A admissions counselor on TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 24th.  Please sign up with Ms. Mackenzie in the College and Career Center, to receive your pass.


Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24th, is our next blood drive. You can get your permission slips on stage at lunch. Sign up now and save 3 lives and get yummy free snacks! Also, please be turning those in as they are signed as soon as possible to sign up for a time slot!


Students! This Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24th and 25th at lunch, in room 1225, we are painting Vail Rocks! Please come in during lunch on these days to paint rocks to liven and decorate our school!


The Spectrum Club will meet Wednesday at lunch in Ms. Allen’s room.


The SWAT club will meet Friday at lunch in Mr. Arias’s room.


This is the last week to check out books. All library books will be due back by May 4th. Seniors, you MUST return books or pay for them before May 15th in order to have your transcripts released!


Hey Freshmen! Your Link Crew wants to share one more event with you before you become sophomores! May 4th is a half day so during 6th and 7th periods we will have a friendly basketball tourney and ice cream. If you would like to one last farewell with your Link Crew stop by and see Mrs. Shroder or Mrs. Webber-Graff to purchase your tickets. Tickets are only $2.


Attention next year’s Juniors and Seniors! Link Crew applications are here!! If you are interested in becoming a Link Crew leader next year and you love freshmen then come by and see Mrs. Shroder in room 2225 and pick up your application!


Wanna go to the Galapagos Islands next summer? There will be an information session about the Summer 2019 Galapagos Islands trip in Ms. DaConta’s room #2205 at 6pm this Thursday, April 26th! Students AND parents should come to hear all about the fun we plan on having (like swimming with marine iguanas, hiking through the islands, and exploring Ecuador!) Students can still come if parents can’t make it, but obviously bringing a parent is preferred. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Ms. DaConta because there will be snacks provided.


Hey Mavericks! Did you miss the Switzerland and Italy information meeting? We had a great turn out. As a matter of fact, 31 of your friends and peers are signed up. BUT don’t worry, there are a few spots left. So, if you don’t want to miss out, our last information meeting this year is on Thursday, May 10th. Come by and see Mrs. Shroder for more details… don’t wait, spots are filling up very quickly.
