Good morning, Andrada, and Happy Thursday.


Today is a half day for parent-teacher conferences.


Conferences are from 1:30 – 7:00 tonight.


Happy birthday if it’s your birthday today!


Because today is a half day, there will be no lunch, no lunch block and no activity buses.


Game Club is cancelled tonight and tomorrow night.


Attention Seniors!  Are you tired of fighting for a parking spot?  Well, you are in luck! Personalized Parking Spots are being sold for $5 on the stage at lunch and before school from Mrs. Young.  Spots are sold on a first come, first serve basis and are ONLY available to Seniors. Bring your $5 to the stage at lunch or before school to Mrs. Young in room 1104, and you will be able to select your spot for the year.  Today after school at 12:45, paint will be available for you to personalize your purchased spot. You can personalize your spot with an appropriate name, nick-name, images and designs. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Young, or a Senior Class STUCO Officer.  


A diaper drive is being held to support our local community diaper bank. Adult and Baby diapers are needed. A box will be placed in the classes for the diaper donations. DONATE THIS WEEK. THE DRIVE WILL END ON FRIDAY, SEPT 14TH. The 1st Period class which collects the most diapers, will win a pizza lunch.


Next week will be our first Spirit Week, first dance and first Fun First Friday!

Monday September 10th will be: Take a selfie with a teacher day

Tuesday September 11th will be: PJ Day

Wednesday September 12th will be: Meme Day – Dress up as your

favorite meme

Thursday September 13th will be:  Sports Day – Represent your

favorite sport/team

Friday, September 14th wear your Class Colors!

  • Freshmen wear White
  • Sophomores wear Grey
  • Juniors wear Blue
  • Seniors wear Black

That day will also be our first First Fun Friday during Freedom with Responsibility blocks.

The dance will be here on Friday from 7 – 10 p.m.


Wednesday, September 12th at 6:30 p.m. will be our first Andrada PTO Meet & Greet. Come join the Parent-Teacher Organization and help get things done for our school. Please RSVP to Ms. Leiser in the front office by September 7th.


It’s finally here! The Australia, New Zealand and Rarotonga Island trip is confirmed for spring of 2020!! Our first informational meeting is Thursday, September 13th at 6pm at the Vail Innovation Center next to Empire. Learn how you can get an instant $200 off your trip and pay for the rest with tax credits and much more. So mark your calendar for Sept. 13th, spots won’t be available for long! Attention NHS members! Club dues must be submitted by September 14th, and if you still have not signed up for the Remind notifications, you MUST stop by Ms. Opalic’s room (2222) to get the code. Remember, we meet Fridays on B weeks, during 1st block!


Get ready to smile purty! Picture Day is Wednesday, September 19th.


Want to play a team sport right here on campus at Andrada?  Want to meet new people and be part of a community? Want to get hyped?  Join the ultimate frisbee team! Come to meetings Mondays during first lunch block in Mr. Alessini’s classroom.  Practices are after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays; please report to Mr. Alessini’s at 3:30–we’ll head down to the soccer fields from there.


Are you interested in building, programming, electronics, design, or business? Then come check out the 1828 BoxerBots! We meet Wednesdays and Saturdays from 4 pm to 6 pm. Our meetings take place at Vail Academy and High School in the MPR. For more information or transportation help please email

Do you want to go to college? Do you want to do your best on the ACTs? Then come to our ACT prep classes held here at Andrada on the following Saturdays: Saturday, October 20th and March 30th. Each session costs $35 and runs from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
