Good morning, Andrada and happy Friday

Happy birthday if it’s your birthday today!

 

Impact aid surveys – there is still time to have your parent complete their survey online to be eligible for one of five $20 gift cards. Please have them complete the survey by the end of the day today and get your name in for the drawing.

 

Do you want to do a little trick-or-treating or maybe see some old friends? Tonight is Corona Foothills Middle School’s Fall Festival from 5 – 9 p.m.

 

Gamers: Game Club will be hosting our first Game Night TONIGHT from 6pm to 9pm  There will be tournaments and prizes! Admission is just $5, or 5 canned goods or a game donation.  If you are interested in playing M rated games, you need to print the permission slip from Game Club’s Schoology group.

 

A reminder to those running the Buckaloo farms race this weekend. We will be leaving Andrada at 6:00 am. Make sure to bring food and and money. Any Runners who would like to sign up on the race day please contact Mr. Frausel today.

 

Attention APHS club members! Andrada’s 4th annual Halloween Festival and Haunted House is coming up soon, next Saturday on October 27th! If your club is interested in having a booth to sell food or host fundraising activities, please make sure to contact Ms. Reed no later than this Friday, October 19th.

 

An Admissions Representative from University of California Riverside will be on Campus on Tuesday, Oct 23rd, if you’re interested or would like more information, Please stop by the College and Career Center for a pass to see them.

 

There will be a University of Arizona campus tour on Oct 24. This trip will be for seniors only, if you’re interested in going, please come down to the College and Career center for a permission slip.

 

The Sabino Canyon Seven Falls hike will take place Saturday, October 27. Please see Mr. Frausel for details.  

 

Hey Mavericks! Thanksgiving is coming and Be Kind is raising money to help buy Thanksgiving dinners for families in need. Here’s where you come in – During lunch Be Kind will be selling feathers for $1. Buy a feather and put the name of a teacher on the back. Teachers who have the most feathers on their turkey will have to kiss a goat in front of the student body during the November 9th FWRB party. Buy a feather, feed a family! (Feathers will be sold through November 9th.)

 

Freshmen! Would you like to play in a basketball tournament on Friday October 26th? Link Crew will be hosting their 2nd annual Freshmen/Freshmen teacher basketball tournament during FWRB 1 and 2. Tickets are $2. Anyone can pay to get in but only freshmen can play in the tournament. You can buy tickets from Mrs. Shroder or Mrs. Webber-Graff or at the door through Oct. 26th.

 

Hello Andrada! Did you miss the first of only a few informational meetings to Australia/New Zealand/and Roratonga Island trip? Well there is only 1 meeting left this year. It’s Thursday, November 8th at 6pm at the Vail Innovation Center next to Empire. Come by and see Mrs. Shroder for more information. 15 of your friends have already signed up… don’t miss your chance to see Kangaroos, Koala bears, go snorkeling in the South Pacific and – if you’re a Lord of the Rings fan.. Hobbiton awaits you!

 

Andrada’s Yearbooks are now on sale! Order yours today by filling out an order form in the bookstore or you can order online using the code 17539. Prices start out at only $60 until December 1st. All personalizations can be done online at yearbookordercenter.com using the same code, 17539. Senior Ads can also be purchased online until December 1st.

 

Seniors, your senior pictures are due December 14th for the yearbook. Make plans to get them taken soon so you’ll have them back in time for December.
