Good morning, Andrada and happy Monday.   

 

Happy birthday if it’s your birthday today!  

 

Beginning today, on every Monday each student will receive an email informing them where they are to go for Freedom With Responsibility blocks. TEACHERS, please take a moment to allow students to check their email and see whether and to where they have to report to Academic Overtime or Reteach this week.

 

Reminder to all students!  TODAY is the last day you have to make schedule changes.

 

AMCC  will be meeting this Tuesday 2nd block in room 2108

 

To those who are going on the CIMI and Disneyland trip, final payments are due this Friday, January 18. If you do not know how much you owe, come see Mr. Febbraro.

 

Mr. Story is cutting his hair! Just kidding, but if you made a New Year’s Resolution to get in better shape or be more active, Fitness Club is for you. Fitness club meets Mon.-Thurs. after school and meets in Mr Story’s, rm 1101. This club is for anyone at any level with all interests! Can’t wait to see you there.

 

Students will be able to check out the ping pong paddles and ball during lunch and before school! This will be done in the front office.  

 

Track Preseason has begun. Come to practice and get a jump start on your season. We meet everyday on the track at 4:15pm. Get your paperwork done at RegisterMyAthlete.com asap! See you there.

 

Tonight is the Spring Sports Information Night, beginning at 6pm, in the Empire Dining Auditorium for students (and their parents) who have not played a spring sport at Empire in the past. If you would like to tryout out for baseball, golf, softball, or track and field for the first time, please plan on attending this meeting.

 

Students, If you are interested in playing football for Empire, please be tuned into the following meetings

 

There will be a meeting for PARENTS this Thursday, January 17 at 6pm in the Empire Dining Auditorium. Come meet our new Head Coach, George Kelly, and get information about our weight training and conditioning program, the Spring and Summer programs, and the upcoming season.

 

Baseball athletes: Offseason conditioning for baseball will begin next week.  Please meet on the Empire baseball field Tuesday-Friday starting at 4pm.

 

Are you Interested in acting? Do you like to perform and express yourself?   Do you want to help support APHS’s drama program? Drama club is starting on Monday, Jan. 28th during block 1 in Mrs. Young’s room and we want you to join!  We are holding officer elections and will also be discussing our goals and plans for the year. If you have any questions please contact Alissa Hernandez or Mrs. Young. We hope to see you there!  

 

The Senior Class Club and Yearbook are planning a Senior Picture Day off campus at Empire Ranch on Tuesday, January 29th from 9am-11am.  All seniors will be bussed off campus to gather for group and individual senior photos. Seniors will not be on campus during this time so please plan accordingly in your classes and we apologize for any inconvenience this will cause.

Seniors, have you been accepted to a college, the military or some other after high school program? Please bring your acceptance letters to the college and career center and put yourself on the map!
