Block Schedule for Finals

Due to final exams, we will be following a block schedule on May 23rd, 24th and 25th.  See below for specific times.  Don’t forget that May 25th is a half day for students!

VIC Open House

Interested in learning more about blended and digital learning here in the Vail School District? Vail School District Job Fair

Vail School District is holding a Teacher Job Fair on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Desert Sky Middle School.  We are recruiting for teachers of all grades and subjects, and SLPs.  Complete an application and register for an interview at  Walk-Ins Welcome!

Summer School 2017

If you need to recover any credits, summer school information and registration is now available.  Registration is due by May 18th in the APHS Bookstore.  Summer school will be conducted slightly different this year, as it will on be online.   Please click on the links below for important details, including bus routes for May 31st, June 1st and testing dates.

  • Dates: May 31st – June 30th
  • Students may take up to 2 half credits.  If completing a core credit, student must take the corresponding AzMERIT exam during scheduled test dates.
  • In-person tutoring will be available one day each week.
  • Cost: $85 per half credit

Important Info for Incoming Freshmen: Class of 2021

Hello Class of 2021 Families,

Welcome to Andrada!

My name is Julia Kaiser, and I will be your student’s principal for the next four years. I look forward to meeting you and your student and watching him/her grow as they make their way through high school.

Although your student’s freshman year doesn’t officially begin for another four months, we are already busy making plans. Below are a few important pieces of information needed to get ready for next year.

Class Selection Event: Mark your calendar! On April 4th or 6th, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. you and your student will come to Andrada to pick classes for next year. When you show up you’ll listen to a brief presentation from our counselors. Your student will then log into Power School and choose his/her classes for next year. Expect to be here about 45 minutes total. CLASSES ARE NOT ASSIGNED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS! SHOWING UP FIRST ON THE FIRST DAY DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE CLASSES CHOSEN, IT DOES, HOWEVER, GUARANTEE A LONG WAIT IN LINE. Look for more information the week before about this important event.

Andrada Scholars: We are currently looking through data provided to us from your student’s middle school. Highly motivate, academically achieving students will be invited to join the Class of 2021 Andrada Scholars Cohort. If your student is invited to be an Andrada Scholar, you will receive more information via mail from the academic advisor that leads the program.

Fee Pay: During the week of July 10th, every Andrada student must attend Fee Pay. At Fee Pay students and parents receive a finalized schedule, pay any class/activity charges, sign important documentation, and receive a computer (or register a bring-your-own device with our technology department). Dates and times have not yet been finalized.

Freshman Orientation: The week before school begins our Link Crew (like WEB) holds an orientation day for our new freshmen. This is a very important event that introduces new students to Andrada and helps them feel comfortable on their first day. We will give you the date and time at the Class Selection Event.
