Graduation Rehearsal

All students MUST attend rehearsal at Andrada at 8:30am on Friday, May 19, 2017.

Graduation is Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 4:00pm

Transportation to the TCC (please see the transportation contract for more info)

Students who are taking the bus must be at Andrada at 1:30. Students can take the bus one way or round trip. Students providing their own transportation to the TCC MUST be there no later than 2:15.

Guests that have reserved a spot will take a bus from Andrada. It will leave Andrada promptly at 2:30.

Parking and Seating

Doors open for guests at 3:00 p.m. The ceremony should last about an hour. Guests may park on the street for free or in the TCC parking lot for $10. There are no tickets for the ceremony. Click HERE for the seating layout of the TCC arena, and click HERE for a map of the streets and parking areas surrounding the TCC.  Please speak to your student about where they will be walking in/seated, so that you can plan your seats accordingly.

Dress Code

Students must wear appropriate clothing under their gown. We encourage students to make sure their gowns are wrinkle free. Caps can be decorated appropriately as well. Decorations must be flat and not vertical.

Restricted Items

The following items will not be permitted in the TCC:

  • Balloons (There is a $50 fine.)
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Signs on sticks that are longer than a paper towel roll
  • Air horns or other noise makers
  • Outside food or drinks
  • Laser pointers


Guests will not be permitted on the arena floor. After the ceremony, the students will return to the holding area to retrieve their personal belongings and will immediately meet you outside where there is plenty of room for pictures. IF YOU WANT THE OFFICIAL PHOTO OF YOUR STUDENT RECEVING HIS/HER DIPLOMA FROM PRINCIPAL KAISER, YOU MUST FILL OUT THE ORDER FORM AND PAY $10 THIS WEEK. THESE CAN BE OBTAINED IN MS. REED’S CLASSROOM OR BY CLICKING ON THIS LINK.


The TCC concession stands will be open with drinks and snacks available to families for purchase.


There will be no diplomas handed out at the graduation ceremony.  Students will receive their diploma covers when they walk on stage.  Diplomas may be picked up from Andrada during the week following graduation (May 22-26).  If a diploma is not picked up during that time frame, they will be mailed to the address provided by the graduate.


Baccalaureate is planned for the evening of Friday, May 19th at 7:00pm, at the Vail Theater of the Arts on Empire’s campus.  Please click here for more details.

End of Year Senior Events

There are many other senior events taking place over the next few weeks. Please click here to see the list of important dates. Your student will receive more information about each event as they get closer. Senior finals will be taken Tuesday, May 16th through Thursday, May 18th
